Afghan man saves pair of blind Turks in Chios

An Afghan asylum seeker saved two Turkish blind people after they fell off a pier at the port of the eastern Aegean island of Chios.

The incident occurred late on Wednesday night.

According to reports, the unnamed Afghan man dove into the sea after the two tourists misstepped and fell into the water.

The pair were not injured and returned to their hotel with the help of the port authorities.
