All available resources for relief of storm damage, Investments Minister Georgiadis says

Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis on Thursday expressed his deep sorrow and condolences to the families of storm victims, as well as wishing for a speedy recovery of the injured, in statements about Wednesday deadly storm in Chalkidiki.

He noted that the relevant development ministry services had mobilised immediately to fully record the damage and estimate its, including the possibility of mobilising EU funds.

“Our main responsibility is to determine financing needs for works to restore damage or actions for the relief of local populations, as well as estimating the possibility of mobilising the corresponding financing resources of the European Union, with emphasis on the possibility of a prompt and on-time submission of a request to activate the Solidarity Fund.

The ministry was from the first moment at the side of the residents of Central Macedonia and is mobilising all available national and European resources for the immediate relief of those impacted,” he said.
