Greek Coast Guard rescued 61 migrants

The Greek Coast Guard rescued 61 migrants in the sea region of the islands Symi and Farmakonissi.

Specifically, 17 migrants were located in the sea region known as Nimos, near Symi, and were transferred to the island’s port. The 20-year-old captain of the migrant boat has been arrested.

Another 44 migrants on a dinghy were located and rescued northeast of Farmakonissi. The migrants were taken to the port of Leros.
