Greek, Turkish coast guard commanders meet in Turkey

The Aegean region Coast Guard and Port Authority commanders of Greece and Turkey met for technical collaboration at Ayvalik on the Turkish coast on February 28, it was made known on Wednesday.

The collaboration is part of the confidence-building measures between the two countries.

Both sides reviewed issues of coordination in order to improve effectiveness in operations at sea areas with high migrant traffic. They also committed to meet anew at the end of May in Greece.
