Piraeus port signs MoU with ports of Venice, Chioggia

The ports of Piraeus, Venice and Chioggia on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding seeking to develop port services and to promote trade flows between Europe, the Mediterranean and the Far East.

The MoU was signed during a meeting between the chairman and CEO of Piraeus port Fu Chengqiu and the president of the Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority (Venice and Chioggia) Pino Musolino. The MoU envisages cooperation in improving the exchange of best practices and knowhow in port management, particularly in IT, attracting investments and communications.

The common goal is to improve the performance of the two ports to act as significant networks in forthcoming international sea interconnections along the “Silk Road”.
