State calls on property owners to complete cadaster registrations by Oct. 31

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) and the Hellenic Cadaster have undertaken a massive email campaign to remind property owners they have to register their assets by October 31.

From Tuesday through the weekend, 500,000 emails will be sent to owners who have been remiss in six regions of Greece. Authorities warned there will be no more extensions to the filing, which is part of a longtime effort by several governments to update the official land registry.

The regions targeted by the emails include Arkadia, Drama, Etoloakarnania, Evrytania, Fokida, Grevena, Ilia, Ioannina, Iraklio, Kavala, Magnissia, Rodopi, Viotia, West Attica, and Xanthi.
