Syriza condemns media reports on TV licenses

Main opposition SYRIZA on Monday condemned media reports that criticized the licensing process for television stations while it was in power.

What annoys pro-New Democracy media and interests, it said, is that “there was a bidding process, the public benefitted by 250 million euros from licenses, TV magnates are finally paying out what they ought to, and TV station staff have secured their jobs.”

Greek people “know who is behind these attacks and what they want, and we will not allow a return to a previous state of opaqueness and impunity.”
