UN experts to present findings on gender discrimination in Greece on Friday

A team of United Nations experts that has been assessing Greece’s efforts to establish gender equality and its progress in eradicating discrimination against women in legislation and in action will present its findings in Athens on Friday.

According to an announcement issued by the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), the UN experts are on their first official visit to Greece, held between April 1 and April 12, and will hold a press conference to present their initial findings at the Electra Hotel (5 Ermou Street) in central Athens at noon on Friday.

Their full report will be submitted to the UNHRC in June 2020.
